The Weaver Who Counted Stars

A blind weaver maps the whole sky in thread, and the sky, flattered, teaches her its oldest song.

Γ€dΓΉkΓ© could not see the stars, so she listened to them β€” the faint chime each made turning in its place.

Thread by thread she wove the sky into a cloth, every star a knot exactly spaced. When she finished, the night bent low to look at itself, and found it beautiful.

In thanks the sky taught her the song sung at the first dawn. She wove that too. They say the cloth is buried with her, and on clear nights the stars still hum the tune, hoping she is listening.
